ပီေလာပီနံကိတ္/Cassava Cake


အဲဒီမုန္႕ကို မိတ္ေဆြတေယာက္အိမ္မွာစားဖူးတာပါ။ တခါေမး လုပ္ၾကည့္မျဖစ္၊ ေနာက္တေခါက္ထပ္ေမးတဲ႔အခါ လန္ဒန္အလည္ေရာက္ေနတဲ႔အေဖက မေအတူသမီး မဟုတ္လိုက္တာ။ သမီးအေမဆို အစားအေသာက္ ကိုျမည္းၾကည့္တာနဲ႔ ဘာေတြပါလဲ၊ ဘယ္လိုလုပ္ရင္ျဖစ္မလဲ သိတယ္ တဲ႔။ အေမ့ကိုဘယ္လိုမွ ယွဥ္လို႔မရမွန္သိေပမဲ႔ အေဖမကမခံခ်င္ေအာင္ေျပာလိုက္တဲ႔ဒဏ္ကိုေတာ္ေတာ္မခံႏိုင္ျဖစ္သြားတယ္။ အဲဒါနဲ႔ ပီေလာပီနံထုပ္သြားထပ္ဝယ္ေတာ့ ဆိုင္ကဖိလစ္ပိုင္လူမ်ိဳး အိသက္သားေတြသမီးေတြကသူတို႔ Cartoonဇာတ္ေကာင္Oso နဲ႔တူလို႔သူ႔ကို Oso လို႔နံမည္ေပးထားတယ္။ အဲဒီ Oso ကဘာလို႔ဒီဟာကို တေန႔တည္း ခဏခဏလာဝယ္တာတုံးေမးေတာ့မွမုန္႕လုပ္တာမျဖစ္လို႔ဆိုေတာ့ သူကဒီနည္းေလးေပးပါတယ္။ လုပ္ရတာလြယ္ျပီး စားလို႔ လဲေကာင္းပါတယ္။ ၾကိဳက္လို႔ ခဏခဏစားျဖစ္တာေလးပါ။

-ႏြားႏို႔ ဆန္ခ်င္ခြက္ ၁ခြက္

  

ပီေလာပီနံ ျခစ္ပီသားမ်ားနဲ႔ႏို႔ဆီ ကိုဗူးရဲ႔ သံုးပုံ ႏွစ္ပုံထဲ႔ ၾကက္ဥ ႏွစ္လုံးထဲ႔ -ႏြားႏို႔ထဲ႔  ဆား ထဲ႔ အုန္းႏို႔ကို တဗူးေက်ာ္ထဲ႔ ( အုန္းႏို႔နဲ႔ႏို႔ဆီခ်န္ခိုင္းတာေနာက္ျပန္သုံးမွာမို႕ပါ)။ အထက္ပါမ်ားကို သမေအာင္ေရာေမႊျပီး  ေထာပတ္သုတ္ထားေသာမုန္႕ဖုတ္မဲ႔ပန္းကန္ထဲ ထဲ႔ျပီး ၁၈၀ ဒီဂရီ နဲ႔ ၃၅ မိနစ္ အေပၚမီး ေအာက္မီးနဲ႔ဖုတ္ပါ။

 

 

ျပီးရင္ Oven ထဲကျပန္ထုတ္ကာ ခုဏကက်န္ေသာ အုန္းႏို႔နဲ႔ႏို႔ဆီကို ေရာကာမုန္႕သားေပၚျဖန္႕ခင္းေပးပါ။ Oven ထဲ ျပန္ထဲ႔ျပီးအေပၚမီး ၁၅၀ နဲ႔ ၁၀မိနစ္ခန္႕ထားေပးရင္ရပါျပီ။

အေအးခံျပီးအနံ႔ေမႊးျပီ စိမ့္ေနေသာ ပီေလာပီနံမုန္႕ေလးလီွးစိတ္စားလို႔ရပါျပီ။

 

I have eaten this cake at one of my friends house. As I loved it I asked for a recipe and tried to make it but it did not pan out well. On my second ask for a recipe, my Dad was here in London for a visit reminded me that my Mum would know how to make it if she tastes it. I know that I can’t compete with my Mum over this matter, but as he got on my nerves on my indomitable spirit, I set out to buy a Cassava in a nearby Philippine groceries shop. In that shop, there is guy as he looks alike Oso, the cartoon character, so we simply nick name him Oso. He asked me why do I keep coming back to buy the same stuff again in one day, so I explained that I was in my attempts to make a cassava cake. By hearing my explanations, he then gave me this wonderful recipe. It is very easy to do and tasty as well that I often make it.

Contents

-2 450g sacks of grated cassava

-1 tin of condensed milk

-2 eggs

-1 and half tins of coconut cream

– 1 tea cup of milk

-half a tea spoon of salt

In a buttered brush tray, thoroughly mix up all grated cassava, 2/3 of condensed milk, 1 tea cup of milk ,2 eggs, salt and just over a tin of coconut cream (Condensed milk and coconut cream are left a bit to use in later) then put the tray into the oven for 35 minutes with heat from top and bottom with 180 C.

Then, take it out from the oven, and cover it with the rest of condensed milk and coconut cream and put it back to oven for 10 minutes with 150 C.

Let it cool down, then cut and enjoy this very rich and lovely fragrance Cassava Cake.
